A'van Cruiseliner 2012 with Annexe
Our A'van Cruiseliner was the Sydney Caravan Show special offer model in 2012 and was picked up from A'van Penrith in September 2012. It is the model with the table and seats at the front and the lift-up double bed at the back, the fridge, stove and sink unit along the driver's side and a set of drawers inside the door on the kerb side.
It includes the show special items - microwave oven, external hot shower, alloy wheels and solar panel and charger system. The sale also includes the annexe, the weather cover, a Trucker's Bed mattress cover and doona set on the double bed, drawers full of crockery and cutlery, a portable toilet, a basket of tools, water and waste water hoses, and bits and pieces.
This A'van has had relatively little use - not as much as we thought we might when we bought it. I would estimate that it has only done about 5000 km. It has only been on sealed roads - it is not the offroad model. It is registered and insured until September 2026. It has been under a cover for most of its life when not in use.
It has had improvements made to it over the years, including
- installation of two rolling drawers in place of the cupboard under the double bed, which we used for clothing;
- installation of a rolling pantry drawer under the near side front seat in place of the cupboard;
- replacement of the wood screws holding the gas struts to the bed frame with bolts;
- reinforcement of the plywood floor in the doorway with a galvanised steel angle;
- the addition of a 250mm diameter pneumatic jockey wheel for easier movement on grass;
- addition of a vanity mirror on the door pillar;
- silicone sealing of the hinge on the front storage boot to stop the ingress of water.
Also available to the buyer is an electric winch, which we have used to tow it backwards up our side yard to its hardstand in the back corner of the yard.
It has never suffered any accident damage, however the two roof panels were completely replaced with new panels by a professional repairer after hail damage in 2019.
It tows very well behind both my previous and current Subaru Foresters.
This A'van is located in Berowra, northern Sydney, and can be inspected by arrangement. I would consider delivering it to the buyer if the distance was reasonable.
